If you are an experienced driver you are most probably not satisfied with driving or speed characteristics of your car. And certainly, you save money for changing somehow your car mechanics.
Most of the drivers usually change various parts after which a car handles much better. Thus the drivers usually change shock absorbers, suspension, wheel and other parts to improve driving characteristics. Those who want to speed up a vehicle decide to install a turbo kit which helps to add up to 40 per cent of a horsepower to a car with a relatively small engine. This is very beneficial, because being converted into a turbo one and thus becoming much faster, a car does not become fuel hungry as those fast monsters with huge engines. So, the advantages of turbocharging are obvious. Though the prices for it are exorbitant. But all the lucky drivers who have turbo cars admit that all those expenditures are justified.
So, what to start with if you decide to install a turbocharger. First of, prepare for expenditures. A turbo kit is a costly treat itself. Besides, you will need to pay for the installation also, because a turbo kit is not something you will be able to bolt up yourself. Obviously, heavy expenses are inevitable.
Another thing to get prepared from the very beginning is the right choice of a turbocharger. You should do a thorough research before you buy anything. And it will be even better if you entrust this task to experts who will help you with the choice. Let me explain, why.
Though there are different types of turbochargers available nowadays, many of the drivers do one and the same mistake – they erroneously strive for the largest turbos to install under the hoods of their cars. But then they complain for poor answer to acceleration or extended turbo lag and other problems they face. This happens only because they decide to install a turbocharger of the wrong size.
Of course, large turbos are a way out for street racers, since the latter need maximum engine performance and the highest speeds. But those who drive within the city every day most probably do not need the largest turbo. A smaller turbocharger will be enough for them, though it is limited in performance, but have in imperceptible turbo lag. By the way, though the amount of horse power added by a smaller turbo is considered rather limited, it is more than enough for daily street driving, as most of the drivers admit. So, hence it is obvious that expenditures for a large turbo are not justified, since it will be rather useless due to its size. That is why be careful while choosing.
Long time ago automobile turned into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners want to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to make their car a real masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to buy them.

If we start speaking about modern car tuning tendencies, it will become obvious that turbocharging enjoys the greatest popularity nowadays. More and more drivers stop being satisfied with speed characteristics of their cars and want to drive faster and faster. Auto manufacturers do their best to meet the demand of the customers and offer stock cars already equipped with turbochargers. Those who bought their vehicles earlier save money for installing a turbo kit, since it really boosts up a car for about 30 and even 40 per cent.
So, what we know about turbo kits. The first thing is that they are extremely expensive. A turbo kit comprises a turbocharger and different parts that ensure its proper performance. And the prices for these details are not going to plummet. Besides, installation service is not easy and cheap also. A driver won’t be able to bolt up everything himself. So, some experienced car mechanics are to be hired. Of course, this means additional expenses, but on the other side of the coin – this is a positive aspect. Car experts will not install everything, but also can advise which turbocharger to choose. And this will make your life much easier, since selection a proper turbocharger is not easy at all.
Today a driver can get a larger or smaller turbo installed, or even a twin turbo kit. A larger turbo gives maximum performance which makes it irreplaceable for racing cars. But it has a substantial drawback which makes a large turbo quite useless for daily street driving: in this case a driver will suffer from a turbo lag and won’t be able to use the maximum power a large turbo can add to an engine. So, those who are not keen on racing should give preference to smaller turbos. They add limited power to an engine (which is quite sufficient for daily street driving though), but at the same time they do not introduce such large turbo lag which is very advantageous. In terms of ratio efficiently / lag twin turbo kits consisting of two smaller turbos proved to be the most advantageous, since they add maximum performance and at the same time are not characterized by an extended turbo lag.
As you see, there is a plenty of options as far as the choice of a turbocharger is concerned. And it is not as easy as may seem. Very often drivers face different problems after having converted their vehicles into turbo ones. This happens only because the wrong size of a turbocharger is installed. Thus a car may start poorly answering to acceleration or have a too extended turbo lag. So, if you want to avoid such problems – think carefully while choosing anything.
Long time ago car changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners want to have high-powered sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who are looking how to turn their car into a unique masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.

If you want to know what is done with the engine before it is remapped continue reading through this article and you have a good knowledge of remapping car. You wanted to know more about what to do when a car engine is remapped?
ECU Remapping:
Ok let’s start with the remapping of the ECU, which is the software program that is in control of the Engine Management System, also known as the Engine Control Unit (ECU).
The main reason people go to ECU remapping the car is because all car manufacturers set a default value for everything that’s located inside the unit, because of Countries Having a lower settings because of laws and different climate, weather and a number of other factors. This means that ECU is set to its maximum performance for a single country in the sense that it is only optimized for a mixed environment.
Such modifications discharges will change the way in which the flow of the motor car and a change in airflow to your vehicle fuel ratio is often caused by this type of change. You may lose benefits through the tables of fuel, if you have the car remapped after such changes and modifications.
OBD Remapping:
On Board Diagnostics or OBD is the terminology that is a car (or any motor vehicles) diagnostics and reporting capabilities of the motor vehicle. Board diagnostic systems can access information about your state vehicles and various other subsystems to enable them to be checked and modified if necessary.
Chip Tuning is all about the change of control of vehicles and the administration, this is done with the writing of EPROM, if done correctly will give you much better performance in many ways even more power, less emissions, cheaper motor fuel and many other improvements.
Car tuning is a tricky thing. On the one hand you enhance performance of your car making it fast and attractive. On the other hand it is important to keep everything in moderation. Some changes may simply kill the engine or suspension of your car. So, do not get carried away. Remember that this is just a car, not a spaceship.
If you want to do a good tuning job then you should certainly consult specialists and look for advice. There are numerous web sites online offering information and services on car tuning which will improve performance of your vehicle.
Also, do not entrust your beloved car to hands of the fist specialists you have found. Ask friend and other car owners about certain workshops and specialists. This is very important since they can damage your car and repairmen costs will be too high. Besides, they may not give you any guarantee or money back policies.
Long time ago car became not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people are eager to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who are looking how to turn their car into a unique masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to buy them.

Sports cars are cars that are expensive and will be a great concern for their owners.
There are so many ways that you can take care of your sports car and extend the life of it too. Here are three ways you can do just that.
Everyone knows that the interior and the courage of the car is what moves and does all the power. The engine and transmission are all mechanisms that run the machine and what is favored over the external appearance. Although the aerodynamics of the car is always good to the interior of what is under the hood that powers the machine and what should be taken care of more then painting and finishing.
Although the neglect of the outside will be in a bad light is still what is under that hood that makes it not perform the painting and finishing.
If you want your car to look and perform well then you have to take care to keep it clean. Do not forget to regularly change oil in your car. Also, if you see or feel that something is wrong with the car, consult a specialist.
Try not to expose your sports car to rain. Keep it covered or protected from water and nasty weather that can do bad things to the car.
Regular maintenance of a sports car is just as important if you are driving any other car because it needs to be treated more or less. It needs to be tuned up, must have the oil change time, no more racing just need to be maintained at par or is it just going to turn into a pile of garbage.
A lot of people have the mentality, if it is not broke why do you need to solve the problem? Well, to be updated especially if your car is old and has had new parts since it was done probably need some new parts to keep it running well.
Sports cars should be well treated and no longer runs if you run the engine so it can cause a catastrophic error or just mess up really bad is why it is important to know how to take care of your sports car and knows how to solve the problem when something is wrong.
You just need to keep the car tuned and keep it useful if you want to last long and be worth it to spend money on it. If you do not keep well maintained then you’ve just spent the money for any reason it will not last more than a few years if that.
If you want to enhance performance of your car, then you can look for special turbo kits that can turn an ordinary sports car into a space rocket.
Long time ago car turned into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people are eager to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. People used to say that a car is mainly the means of transportation. But today people want more. They want speed, smooth reliable driving and great performance. The need for speed has driven many people to turbo charge their vehicles. This is a great way to give your car additional boost.
People like turbocharged cars for their power and improved performance. They either buy cars turbocharged by manufacturer or get cars upgraded at performance shops. When people think of turbochargers they mainly enjoy the expectation of speedy yet safe driving. But to enjoy the advantages of turbocharged cars you need to make sure that the turbocharger is installed properly and it is maintained well.
Turbochargers consist of many details all of which contribute to the smooth operating of the whole system. Let’s discuss dump valves. When installed in petrol turbocharged cars this detail is of great importance as it absorbs extremely high pressures that are generated in turbocharged cars. It releases the excess pressure to the atmosphere or inlet. Its mission is vital: it protects the turbo from great pressure which it wouldn’t be able to cope with alone.
When you are in full motion you accelerate and your turbo creates much additional boost which gives you this wonderful feeling of powerful driving. But let’s say you need to decelerate fast. Here is what happens in the car. The throttle closes but the air still gets compressed. As the throttle is closed the excess air has no way out. The produced boost cannot be used and it goes back through the intercooler. This is fraught with huge pressure at the back of the turbo. This pressure prevents the turbo from spinning. The dump valve works towards releasing this excess pressure in two ways: into the outside and into the intake system. When atmospheric valves release extra pressure into the air it gives that specific sound which is just loved by drivers. If the air is driven back into the intake system it is accompanied by minimal sound. Dump valve plays an important role in improving the response between gearshifts. The turbo lag also gets reduced and the next boost comes in time.
Dump valves work great on petrol cars. You What about diesel car? It’s simple: petrol dump valves cannot be used in diesel cars because engines of turbo diesel cars and petrol cars are set up differently. The throttles in petrol cars are not similar to diesel cars. Diesel cars can use all the air the compressor can produce. The more air is compressed and the denser it is the better the car’s performance is. Diesel dump valve does not add speed to the vehicle though it can provide the sound when you change gears. This doesn’t look like a reasonable ground to have a dump valve on diesel cars.
Thus, we can see that dump valve is a necessary performance detail for petrol cars and a mere sound option for turbo diesels.

Today all the car amateurs are aware of turbocharged machinery. They are installed into different types of machinery equipped with diesel engines such as ships, trucks, and different vehicles. And obviously it becomes very popular to install turbos in stock cars. A number of car manufacturers offer cars already equipped with turbo kits, since they are eager to meet the growing demand for turbo cars and make big money due to it. Turbo conversion is done due to several motives.
The small size and the low weight of a turbocharger are really advantageous. This allows manufacturers to produce cars of large potential without their weight increase. Hence, there is no need in designing and installation of a bigger engine to obtain more horsepower. And hence we obtain a faster car with the engine of the same size. This also contributes to the fuel saving, since the engine is the same while there is much more horsepower.
Today cars with diesel engines not equipped with a turbocharger are rather rare. More and more car manufacturers install turbos into the vehicles with diesel engines. This can be explained by several motives. Firstly, diesel non-turbo engines are characterized by a quite poor answer to acceleration, and a turbocharger is a perfect opportunity to improve the performance of a diesel engine. In addition to the improvement of efficiency of the diesel engine and its speed characteristics, as well as proportion power –weight, the turbochargers are ideal for diesel engines, since the latter do not have any detonation. This allows to use higher pressures if compared with engines of spark ignition.
So it is obvious that turbocharging technology allows us to get small but very fast cars characterized by the high performance. Those who are not quite lucky to buy the latest models can have turbo kits installed under the hoods of their cars. In this case a turbocharger and many other parts are installed. The latter are necessary as they are meant for ensuring proper and efficient operating of a turbo vehicle.
What is important – you must choose a turbocharger correctly. All the car enthusiasts know that big turbos produce more power. But this is not the reason of buying the biggest turbocharger: if this does not fit to a particular engine, the speed characteristics of the vehicle can even worsen. So, in the end, a car can begin to answer badly to the acceleration. Of course, the delay, before reaching the maximum speed, is a normal thing for a turbocharged car, but at the same time it should not be too big.
So, in conclusion, do not be too greedy and choose a correct turbocharger for your car – the size is not a key factor for maximum improvement of speed characteristics of a car. Also, do not try saving money on a service of experiences car mechanics.
Long time ago automobile turned into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners would like to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to turn their car into a unique masterpiece, go to this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.

It is clear that we have already got accustomed to cars so much that we cannot imagine our lives without them. Driving means certain freedom – a person can go anywhere and whenever he or she wants or needs. At the same time, since we are so used to cars, we begin demanding from them more: exceptional driving and speed characteristics. And when the stock cars do not meet our high requirements, we spend a lot of money and effort to improve them.
So, car tuning supposes that a lot of car parts are substituted with better ones and this contributes to substantial improvement of car’s technical characteristics. Some drivers worry much about the looks of their vehicles and want to make them look more nice and expensive. This results in various changes the interior or the exterior of a car.
Other drivers have more serious approach and change the wheels, shock absorbers and other details that in the end improve typical conduction of a vehicle. So, the drivers admit that after such changes their cars really handle better and they feel more confident when driving their tuned up cars.
Those who cannot live without high speeds will install, of course, a turbo kit that will make their cars definitely faster. A turbo kit consists of a turbocharger that compresses the air and lets the biggest air and the fuel volumes enter the engine and many other parts that assure the efficient and safe work of a turbocharger.
An exhaust manifold is an integral part of any turbo kit, since this directs the air streams. Blow-off valves and wastegates that provide the pressure control are also installed by default as a part of a turbo kit. A turbo system is quite impossible without them, because a turbocharger is a powerful source of high pressure. An intercooler is not less important than those details of control of pressure. Since a turbocharger is a source of high temperatures, an intercooler is vital for the engine which may soon wear out.
These are many other parts that are installed for conversion a car into a turbo one, because with them a turbocharger installed alone is quite useless. And this explains the high cost of the turbocharging a car: a turbo kit and its installation will require need thousands of dollars. And this is not the case when you can save the money. If you really want to add more horsepower to your engine, better do not save money. The best parts you receive, more satisfied you will be.
Of course, this is not the reason to strive for the biggest and hence the most expensive turbocharger. Big turbochargers are not a universal solution for every car. Very often they can make the situation even worse due to the turbo lag. You should choose a turbocharger basing on your particular engine and see what the best option is in your particular case. Only in this case you will be satisfied by the result and it will not spend the money in vain.

It is already a well-known fact that a turbocharger adds approximately 35-40 per cent of power to a car engine. This makes turbocharged vehicles significantly faster, if to compare them with ordinary cars.
In fact, turbocharging is something that everyone has heard about, some lucky car enthusiasts use it, since they have bought the last models released where the turbochargers are already installed. And there are those who dream of installation a turbocharger under the hood – the principal problem for them is to find sufficient funds, because the installation of a turbo kit will require a round sum (thousands of dollars).
And now a few facts that are not so well-known.
The first turbo was invented at the beginning of 20th century by the Swiss engineer Alfred Buchi. At first diesel ships got it installed. A little later it was introduced in the automotive industry.
The principal function of a turbocharger is to add more power to the engine of a vehicle. In other word, a turbocharger allows to obtain a car of high speed potential without substituting the engine with a bigger one. A turbocharger draws in large air volumes at fast rates and this allows to substantially improve fuel/air mixture ratio.
And here is something that is actually well-known by very often forgotten by many: an engine’s performance is based on fuel / air mixture. It breathes in the air and uses the fuel to generate the energy. As a result, it runs the engine and its internal parts in charge of the wheels and driveshaft operation.
Obviously a turbocharger is responsible for the drawing in bigger air volumes to add an engine more performance. A turbocharger consists of a compressor and turbine that are connected by a shared axis. The exhaust gases are directed at the turbine entry by the exhaust manifold that causes turning the turbine wheel. The compressor which compresses the air and sends it to the engine air intake is driven by the turning turbine.
Now there are many cars with already built-in turbos. You can recognize such a car by Turbo Diesel Injection (TDI) sign or Twincharger Supercharged Injection (TSI) sign. But if you are not too lucky to buy the last released model, you can undertake to install a turbocharger into your car. But be sober – this will be a costly treat because not only the turbocharger will be installed.
A cooling and pressure control system will be installed in addition to a turbocharger itself – it is necessary for proper performance of a converted car and protection the engine from quick wearing out. So, you will have to find a professional car mechanic who will take care of the complicated turbo system installation.
Long time ago automobile turned into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners want to have high-powered sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who are looking how to make their car a real masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.

This article is meant for those who hesitate whether to install a turbocharger or not. It is self-evident that such a decision cannot be made spontaneously, since installation of a turbocharger is a complicated and hence expensive procedure. But at the same time difficulties should not be the reason of refusal from obtaining a furious car. Just be prepared to possible unexpected problems and try to avoid them and this will be a key to your success.
So, the first problem you may face is money. Installation a turbo kit is very expensive – it may cost thousands of dollars. A turbocharger is never installed alone – entire car system is converted into turbo one. So, a lot of parts besides a turbocharger are installed and hence this means more and more expenses. Besides, a turbo kit is not meant for installation by amateurs – you won’t be able to bolt up it yourself. So, having purchased a turbo kit, do not be surprised that you’ll have to pay for the installation service as well. And the experts’ service is rather expensive.
Another serious problem you may face is the problem of choice: a lot of drivers find it difficult to define which turbocharger to install, since nowadays too many different options are available. Certainly, it is reasonable to ask car experts for help, but there is something you should know yourself.
So, be sure that you do not need a large turbo, if you are not a racer. Large turbochargers do really generate maximum power, but at the same time they produce extended turbo lag which is rather annoying. So, suffering from large lags is not justified, since you won’t have any chance to demonstrate the maximum performance of your turbo vehicle, if you drive along busy streets usually. So, a solution for you is smaller turbo which of course adds a limited amount of horsepower, but at the same time its lag is substantially less. Moreover, if you have extra money to spend, you can get a twin turbo system installed. It consists of two smaller turbos which proved outstanding efficiency. Certainly, such twin system is expensive and installation process is even more complicated, but the game is worth the candles, claim those who have already installed twin turbo kit.
In case you will get a proper turbocharger, you won’t face problems with your turbo vehicle. Having converted it into a turbo one you will be able to enjoy the speed and forget about any other difficulties. So, the conclusion is obvious – thorough preparation is a key to success. Before you undertake installation of a turbo kit, try to think of all possible problems and ways to avoid them – this will give you an indisputable advantage from the very beginning.
Long time ago car turned into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people are eager to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. It is self-evident that cars are an integral part of our lives, isn’t it? Due to them everything has become much closer – now we can go wherever we want and whenever we want. And distances between cities seem to become closer and closer day by day. At the same time we start demanding more from our iron friends: better technical and driving features, and of course, outstanding speed characteristics. Hence this gave rapid development to car tuning. Many drivers undertake different changes of the car mechanics starting from shock absorbers and wheels and ending in changing even the suspension. And those who are not satisfied with the speed characteristics of their vehicles install turbo kits. Obviously, conversion of a vehicle into a turbo one is extremely popular today, in spite of its high price and complicated process.
The indisputable popularity of turbochargers can be explained by only one fact: a turbocharger can really add about 40-50 percent of the horsepower to a car. And this is possible without substituting the engine with a larger one. The latter condition is highly appreciated by many drivers, since the car does not become fuel hungry though is obviously much faster. So, what should you know before you install a turbocharger into your car?
First of all, get ready to part with a round sum, since a turbo kit and its installation is very-very expensive. Besides, the choice of a turbocharger is also rather difficult, since you need to choose the best option for your particular case. Very often car owners face different problems only because of the wrong choice of a turbocharger. So, careful and thorough choice is a key to success.
Do not strive for the largest possible turbocharger, unless you are a racer. You no way need those high speeds and extended turbo lag which is characteristics of large turbos. Smaller turbos generate less power, but they are perfect for street driving every day. Today it is possible to install a twin turbo kit consisting of two smaller turbochargers that have already proved their outstanding efficiency. So, you have plenty of different options in addition to the huge turbos which are often erroneously considered to be the best.
Another thing to remember is that a turbocharger is never installed alone – the whole car mechanics will be converted into a turbo one. So, evidently, turbo conversion requires specific skills and much time – you won’t be able to do this yourself within one day. Find experienced car mechanics who will do everything. Certainly, this means additional expenditures for their service, but if you dare to spend an exorbitant sum for a turbo kit, so you have nothing to do but to pay for its installation.
Long time ago automobile changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners are eager to have high-powered sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to make their car a real masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.
Even if you fail to find anything you need, don’t frustrate. Today we have a really unique chance to choose exactly what you want at the best terms which are available on the market. All that we need is the Internet technologies. Use search engines, look for “car performance parts“, look through blogs, social networks and forums. It is obvious that cars have become an integral part of our lives. We cannot imagine how to survive without a vehicle, since it gives us certain freedom – due to it we can go wherever and whenever we want. At the same time we, as drivers, become more and more demanding. We want the fastest cars. And fortunately, it is possible now. Installation of a turbocharger allows to substantially boost up a car.
So, for a start get impressed by the fact that turbocharging really adds up to 40 per cent of horsepower. So, if you want a faster car, install a turbocharger. This is an expensive and complicated process, but it is really worth of the money spent.
So, why is it so complicated and expensive? The answer is obvious – a turbocharger is never installed alone – the whole car system is converted into a turbo one. Usually, a turbo kit is installed in order to ensure proper and efficient performance of a turbocharger.
In addition to a turbocharger that operates as an air compressor an exhaust manifold that directs the streams of air will be installed. Besides, since a turbocharger is a source of high temperatures and pressure some parts should be installed for protection of engine from quick wearing out. Hence, an intercooler will be installed, in order to protect the engine from overheating. Installed wastegates and blow-off valves provide pressure control of incoming and outgoing air. So, these parts will protect the engine from high pressures. Besides the abovementioned, there will be installed a lot of other details which are necessary for car conversion into a turbo one. Certainly, you should not remember all of them – experienced car mechanics will take care of them. What is required from you is to make the right choice of a turbocharger.
Do not do the common mistake of many drivers who strive for the largest turbochargers. The latter are good for racing cars where high speeds are desirable. But they are quite useless for everyday driving, since there is no place to demonstrate the maximum performance and what is most annoying – large turbos produce extended turbo lag which, of course, you won’t appreciate. That is why it is reasonable to give preference to a smaller turbocharger or even twin turbo kit. The latter is even better, since it produces more power, but has almost imperceptible turbo lag. Of course, the installation of a twin turbo kit is more complicated and expensive than a single large turbocharger, but it is more suitable to daily street driving. The choice is up to you, of course. But make sure that you won’t waste the money – spend it after careful consideration of all options.

It is self-evident that turbo cars are more popular today if to compare with non-turbo. And it is quite clear why. A turbo car is much faster than non-turbo and at the same time it is not fuel hungry, since it has a relatively small engine. Besides, turbochargers are installed into the cars with diesel engines, which get outstanding performance. Hence, a lot of drivers eagerly buy vehicles which are already equipped with turbochargers or decide to convert their non-turbo cars into turbo one. Nowadays installation of a turbo kit is enjoys great popularity. But though a lot of drivers have already installed a turbocharger and there is much information available about turbochargers, still there are a lot of problems which face the drivers with their turbo cars. And these problems usually occur due to information gaps which are covered in this article.
So, problem number one – an extended turbo lag. After installation of a turbocharger a vehicle starts responding poorly to acceleration. So, having faced such a problem a lot of drivers regret about spending money for expensive turbochargers. So, why does this happen? And how to avoid such problems? The answer is very simple – install a smaller turbocharger in case your car is not meant for racing tracks. Of course, a smaller turbocharger generates limited amount of power, but be sure that it will be sufficient for daily driving.
Very often drivers start facing the variety of technical problems with their iron friends only after they get turbochargers installed under the hood. This happens only because they wanted to save money and refused to pay for the expensive service of experienced car mechanics. Certainly, car amateurs do not charge much. But be aware that a turbo kit is not a system that everyone can bolt up himself. It requires special skills and knowledge. That is why if you do not want to spoil your car, better resort to the service of car experts. In this case you can be sure that everything is done properly and you car is really upgraded, but not destroyed.
So, to sum up it is worth saying that you may afford knowing nothing about what you install under the hood of your vehicle. But you are not too rich to waste your money for unqualified service. Experienced specialists are a key to success. Due to them you will kill two birds with a one stone: they will not only install a turbo kit, but will be rather helpful at the initial stage of choice an appropriate turbo kit. And as you know, the right choice is as important as correct installation of a turbocharger. So, act accordingly – and your car will become really insane after upgrading.
Long time ago car became not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people are eager to have high-powered sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who are looking how to make their car a unique masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to buy them.

The structure of a turbocharger is quite simple yet effective. It consists of an engine exhaust manifold that releases hot pressurized exhaust fumes. They are directed to the turbine vane that starts to spin. The gas driven turbine vane is joined to the same rotating center shaft as the compressor impeller. The motion of the turbine vane brings compressor impeller into motion. Thus, when the turbine spins it makes the compressor impeller spin. The air compressor in its turn produces boost pressure. Compressed air cools down by the intercooler thus reaching higher density and then goes into the engine combustion chamber. There it is mixed with fuel and thus, power explosion happens. The more exhaust fumes are released, the faster the turbine spins. The faster the turbine is the more air is compressed by the compressor. The more compressed and dense the air is the more power explosion takes place in the chamber. And thus, you get better and much more powerful boost.
The main basis for the maximum horsepower is provided by the air-fuel mixture. The more air is compressed into the engine intake the more fuel you can add there. The power depends greatly on the amount and volume of air-fuel mixture. Thus, air compression is a vital process for adding more power to your vehicle. However, it has a drawback: air compression is fraught with increased temperature. The heat causes the engine to produce less power. Fortunately, the engineers have found a remedy for this drawback. They have invented and intercooler. When the compressed air is run through it, it is cooled down to the required temperature before it enters the combustion chamber.
Sometimes people prefer to install a twin turbo system. They mainly do it to improve the performance and decrease the turbo lag. It might be felt at low RPMs. At this stage exhaust manifold does not produce enough pressurized exhaust fumes to spin the turbine vane and consequently the compressor impeller cannot make optimum boost.
Twin turbo systems can be of two types: parallel and sequential. Parallel turbo consist of two turbochargers of small diameter and equal flow capacity. They always work simultaneously. They are both connected to the exhaust manifold. They are often used on V-type engines. This type of turbo system needs less pressure from the exhaust manifold to spin up the whole system and it does it in much less time. And it still produces big amounts of compressed air, but with reduced turbo lag.
Sequential turbo systems are less common. They also consist of two turbochargers. One of them is larger and has higher flow capacity. The system works like this: the smaller turbocharger spools up and builds pressure necessary for the secondary larger turbocharger to spool up. This system also adds more boost and reduces turbo lag.

Deciding on turbocharger installment is only a part of the problem. You should also think about fuel efficiency and type of fuel. Do you want a gas or a diesel turbo car? If you can’t answer this question yourself read on!
Turbochargers add more boost to your vehicle by using exhaust fumes to power up the turbo system. Exhaust fumes spin up the turbine which makes the compressor impeller move. The compressor intakes increased amounts of air and compresses it. The more air gets into the combustion chamber the more power will the engine produce. Turbocharger works by overcoming the limitation as for the air intake that is characteristic of normal engines. Turbo engines get much more air. This factor improves the efficiency of the engine and thus your vehicle performance becomes much better.
It is considered that turbochargers work better on diesel engines. There a numerous reasons explaining this fact. Diesel engines are initially designed to withstand higher heat and pressures. Diesel engine output is smaller which means that turbochargers need to produce less pressure to get more power out of engine. Diesel engines do not have octane ratings limitations; they pump fuel into the chamber when it ignites. Diesel engines are more fuel efficient when turbocharged. Besides, the more air is compressed into the engine, the higher the fuel efficiency is. Besides, turbo diesels are easier to maintain.
The performance of turbocharged gasoline engines can be even better than that of turbo diesels. However, the drawback is that they take up more money and efforts for maintenance and balance purposes. Being lighter gasoline engines are fraught with much increased pressure and heat that can go beyond the normal standards. Besides, when air enters a turbocharged gasoline engine it can cause and effect of overclocking. Gas turbochargers are limited by octane ratings. Turbochargers might work badly with low octane gas causing power explosion prematurely and thus limiting the potential power boost.
Whichever type of vehicle you choose to turbo charge you will face great expenses. Installing a turbocharger additionally is much more expensive than buying a car with a stock turbocharger. However, there are some ways to reduce the expenses.
Buying a turbo diesel is better because it cost less and it is more fuel efficient, thus it will save you some money all the way. They are more durable and thus their resale price is very decent. So when you decide to change a car after the years of good use you can be sure that the prices would be quite high. This is definitely the best quality for money! If you decide to buy a gasoline car buy it with already installed turbocharger. Installing it later at the performance shop will cost quite a fortune.

There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to turn their car into a unique masterpiece, go to this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to buy them.

Today there are so many alternatives and variants to boost your car. This is a great source of joy for real car enthusiasts. They know that there are so many modifications to be tried out, so many different options for their car performance optimizations that sometimes it is quite irresistible to try something new. The most popular options for car performance optimization are turbochargers and electric superchargers. They both are highly effective in adding more boost, improving acceleration and increasing maximum speed of the vehicle.
The engine power is produced in the following way: the air and fuel mixture ignites in the combustions chamber which causes kind of an explosion. The more air and fuel mixture enters the chamber the bigger the explosion is and the more power is produces. The size of explosion is directly proportional to the produced horsepower. Thus, if you need more power you need some device that would supply increased amounts of air and fuel into the combustion chamber. Both superchargers and turbochargers cope with this task perfectly well.
Another important aspect for getting more power is cooler temperatures. For ignition cool air is more preferable than hot air. That’s why there are special fans within turbos and superchargers that compress air before pushing it into the engine and there are intercoolers that keep air cool before it enters the chamber. The fans for air compression are powered in different ways and that is what makes superchargers different from turbos.
Superchargers are powered by chains or belts interconnected with a gear or wheel that are joined with the drive shaft. The fan in supercharger is activated by the power that comes from car battery. Electric superchargers release maximum power on full throttle. People choose electric supercharger because it is cheaper and easier to install. Everyone can install it. You just need to attach it to the engine air intake system. A power cable is also attached to the engine. The average increase of power given by superchargers is around 9%.
Turbo fan also compresses the air and forces it into the engine but unlike supercharger fan, it is powered by exhaust fumes. They turn on the turbine which spins faster and faster and makes compression fan do the same. In terms of energy efficiency turbochargers are considered to be better as they use waste energy to get power.
You need to thoroughly consider the differences between superchargers and turbochargers before you decide which one suits your needs better. They are both great for boosting your car, increasing its power and improving its performance. Either of them will pump more air into the combustion chamber and thus your vehicle will show off more horsepower. But before installing either of them, think of which one suits your engine better.

Thinking of turbochargers people have different associations: increased horsepower, improved performance, turbo lag etc. Anyways, what is a turbocharger lag? It is the time required by turbocharger to spin enough to produce boost. Turbochargers are powered by hot exhaust fumes that enter the turbine. Turbochargers need enough exhaust energy which spins the turbine and consequently the turbocharger produces additional boost. To get necessary amounts of hot exhaust fumes the engine needs to be under significant load. Thus, when the engine is under essential load, a lot of boost pressure is released, more fuel is injected and thus, more exhaust fumes are produced and its energy makes the turbine spin and the turbo works even faster. This cycle is a great engineering miracle.
Turbocharger lag is something that is negatively perceived by most. Is it really that bad? Well, it used to! In old days people installed larger turbochargers containing heavy metals. That’s why they took a lot of time to spin. This caused essential delay before the boost was produced. Another reason for turbocharger lag was bad low end torque which meant that the turbo could spin up only at very high RPM’s. However, these problems were solved. Now we use smaller turbochargers consisting of light materials which work towards eliminating turbo lag. And this drawback of turbocharged engines has been successfully beaten.
The turbo technologies have gone a long way. It’s amazing what great results have been achieved. There are cars that come with a turbocharger, intercooler and 2.7liter V6 engines and they produce 250HP at 5800 RPM! All this became possible because car manufacturers use small turbochargers that spool immediately. What turbo lag can we talk about in this situation? Drive this car! I bet you would not feel any! Modern turbocharged cars produce peak torque at 1850RPM. Do you still think there can be any lag??? Well, some people still manage to criticize such cars for lag that they allegedly can feel.
Different magazines have talked so much about turbo lag and turbo engines that it sounds like a curse for car manufacturers. They are ready to do whatever it takes to keep away from it. Thus, car manufacturers use very small turbochargers so that a driver won’t feel any lag. But there are disadvantages of this approach. Small turbochargers mean great low end torque but they limit top end horsepower. In my opinion all this talk about turbo lag is much exaggerated and people need to look deeper into the matter to see the whole picture clearly.
Here is my opinion about peak torque. It should be reached at about half the maximum RPM. This leads to great performance of the car, smooth and fun driving. This is the most comfortable zone where you can enjoy the boost and feel no turbo lag!
Long time ago automobile became not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people would like to have high-powered sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to make their car a unique masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to purchase them.

If you want to boost your car you have a couple of options. Supercharging and turbo-charging your car will definitely add boost to your car and these options are worth considering. They both work in the same direction: they push more air into the combustion chamber which leads to more power. But the principles of their work are different.
A supercharger is powered by energy received from the engine by means of belt/pulley system. The belt puts a supercharger impeller into motion and it takes more air into the combustion chamber. Supercharger is easy to use and it can have the necessary power whenever you need it. Superchargers are also easier to maintain and they do not require special cooling features.
A supercharger produces power throughout the entire power-band. This accounts for smooth boost and easy driving. You get smooth boost both at low and high RPM’s. However, as anything else it has its disadvantages. Superchargers pull energy from the system all the time. The more power a supercharger produces the more power it takes from the engine.
A turbocharger also pushes more air into the chamber but it does it in a different way. The turbocharger impeller is driven by exhaust fumes rather than a belt/pulley system. The impeller needs sufficient exhaust fumes pressure to make the turbine spin enough. Once this is reached, the turbo starts working and it puts more air into the chamber. This consequently increases the exhaust pressure. This cycle means that the faster you go the more boost is produced by a turbocharger.
Thus, the obvious advantage of the turbocharger is that it produces great power without any extra pressure from the engine. Turbocharger has different upgrade options. For example, if you add intercoolers, the density of air will increase and thus you will get more power explosion. Moreover, there are some models that enable you to change the amount of available boost even while driving!
The disadvantage of the turbocharger is a turbo lag which means that at low RPM’s the turbocharger does not produce power. You need adequate exhaust pressure to get the system going. Once it starts, the boost produced is great. The amount of power is so great that you need to make sure that the turbocharger is properly set up so you can handle the car easily. Maintaining turbocharger is more difficult that maintaining a supercharger. Turbos have more moving parts and they require cooling down before you can shut the engine off.
I would say that superchargers are a better option for daily driving. It adds more power without making you worried about reliability of the engine and probable spinouts. But if you are a racer or a great enthusiast of sports cars, you’d rather consider installing turbochargers. You will get truly enormous amounts of power!

There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to make their car a unique masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to purchase them.

Turbocharger is a very popular way to boost your car. You can expect up to 60% horsepower increase provided that the turbocharger is correctly installed and set up. That is a great power addition! Turbocharger technologies have greatly evolved over the recent years. A lot of drawbacks have been eliminated and a lot of improvements introduced making it more popular with car enthusiasts.
The history of turbochargers started in early 1900s. The first one was invented by Alfred Buchi, a Swiss engineer. However, the first turbo was nowhere near to be installed on regular cars. Alfred Buchi applied it first to diesel ships. The obvious benefits of increased power made people want to experiment with turbos in the automotive industry as well. These experiments resulted in great automotive achievements.
Turbochargers reveal all the potential of the engines. Engines work by burning air-fuel mixture. Turbochargers make engines more powerful by pumping more air into it. The more air is in the combustion chamber the bigger power explosion will be. Turbocharged cars are marked by signs like TDI, TSI or CRDI placed on the rear boot. Different car manufacturers offer their own markings.
Now let’s discuss some technical aspects of turbochargers. Inside there are a compressor and a turbine that are linked together by a shared axis. When the engine produces enough exhaust pressure, the impeller of the turbocharger starts moving. This makes the turbine spin. The turbine makes the compressor wheel turn. While turning the compressor takes in more external air, compresses it and pushes it to the combustion chamber of the engine. The compressor enables the engine to take in much more air than normally. If you install an intercooler, turbochargers will be able to convey even more air into the engine. It makes the air denser which account for great amounts of it. More air means the engine can use more fuel. More air-fuel mixture means more power.
Turbocharged engines intake about 50% more air than standard engines. Depending on the turbo charger type you can expect the power increase from 35% to 65%. Sometimes, you can get even more. It all depends on the turbocharger. The more power the car gets the better its performance becomes.
Turbochargers are now widely installed on different types of cars. Turbocharged cars can carry bigger loads and improve acceleration. Turbocharged high performance cars show higher speeds and better results. Today different car manufacturers install turbochargers on regular cars. Volkswagen installs turbochargers on different models like Golf, Jetta and Touran SE. It installs turbochargers on both petrol and diesel cars. The markings are TSI and TDI respectively. Turbo technologies have improved the performance of these cars greatly. They show more power, better acceleration and fuel efficiency.
Long time ago automobile changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners would like to have powerful sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who are looking how to turn their car into a unique masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.

Turbocharger is a performance part which you would install if you wanted to boost your car. Turbochargers are a sure way to add more horsepower to the vehicle and improve its performance manifold. Turbochargers compress gas for denser intake of air. This increases engine output greatly leading to more power.
Turbochargers were invented mid 1900’s. A Swiss engineer Alfred Buchi was the first one to use it. Later on turbochargers were installed on diesel locomotives and ships. Only much later it was installed on regular cars. Due to numerous drawbacks turbocharged cars were not that much in favor for quite a long time.
Turbochargers might seem as a very sophisticated electric device. However, the principle of its work lies within its component parts: turbine, compressor and radial fan. Turbochargers use a small radial fan powered by the energy from the engine exhaust gasses. The compressor and turbine closely interact. Turbine drives the compressor when exhaust gasses are converted into rotational force. Turbine converts this rotational force.
A lot of people are sure that increased power means increased fuel consumption. But not quite so! Turbochargers especially on diesel cars do not increase fuel consumption. Diesel engines work with turbochargers in the most fuel efficient way.
Turbochargers give higher power to weight ratio. This is a very important aspect especially for trucks. If you install a turbocharger on you truck its power will essentially increase which means that your vehicle would carry much more loads. Moreover, installed turbocharger will also affect acceleration positively. This means that you do not have to choose between better acceleration and bigger loads for your truck. Thanks to turbochargers you can have them both.
Clearly, there are both advantages and disadvantages of installing a turbocharger. If you decide to install it, it should be a weighed decision. Before you decide you need to take into considerations a couple of factors: the kind of vehicle you drive, where you drive it, how you do it etc. Installing turbochargers is highly recommended for trucks that need to carry heavy loads and go long distances. Installed turbocharger guarantees quicker delivery of bigger loads. If your truck is not meant for carrying loads, turbocharger is not a must for you though when installed it will improve the performance of the car greatly.
If you are an owner of a racing car, you will definitely need a turbo for maximum performance. You would want your car to show the fastest results and that is what the turbochargers are for. But if your car is not racing, you should consider some drawbacks of a turbocharger before you make a decision. On regular cars it will add to extra fuel burn. Turbochargers are a great creation of engineering. However, installing it should be reasonable.
Long time ago car turned into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners would like to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to turn their car into a real masterpiece, go to this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to purchase them.
Even if you fail to find anything you need, don’t get disappointed. Today we have a really unique chance to choose what you want at the best terms which are available on the market. All that we need is the Internet technologies. Use search engines, look for “buy performance parts“, look through blogs, social networks and forums. One of the best ways to increase horsepower of your car is adding a turbocharger. There are different turbo kits that are compatible with different engine modifications. This gives a lot of options. Nitrous oxygen systems also boost your car, but they are behind turbochargers in terms of durability and gain. Thus, we choose turbochargers to be discussed in this article. They can be tuned to produce great amounts of boost which depends on the turbine size. Turbocharger is basically a forced induction system and it requires the engine to be tuned accordingly. Turbo kits require different performance parts to be installed. Ecu is needed to deliver more fuel than manufacturer settings. Added turbo demands for an intercooler which will fight increased heat. As turbochargers are powered by exhaust fumes, the temperatures are very high which can be very damaging for the engine. Intercooler cools the air before it reenters the system.
Turbo kits often include bolts meant to be matched with intercooler and ecu. Experienced installers can use these bolts to build up durable systems and tune the engine properly. Turbo kit requires proper tuning of intake manifold, heads, fuel and timing ratios for it to release its maximum power. The heads need proper tuning because they are responsible for the production of power. They are a direct way to the combustion chamber where everything happens.
Internal combustion engines ‘breathe in’ air and fuel to produce energy. This air-fuel mixture ignites in the combustion chamber and thus, the energy is released. By-products of combustion are then forced out. This whole process happens within four strokes of pistons. Turbocharger makes the air-fuel mixture more combustible by compressing more air into the engine. This leads to much greater energy release, thus more power.
The main function of turbocharger is to press the air into the engine. Here is how it happens. Exhaust gasses power the turbine. Its wheel drives the compressor wheel. Turbine wheel spins faster and faster causing the same process for the compressor wheel. While spinning the compressor intakes external air and compresses it. Compressed air is very heated. Here we need an intercooler to lower the temperature and increase the density of the compressed air. Only then it enters the chamber. The work of intercooler continues here as well. It keeps the temperature in the combustion chamber at required level. All the components of this charge-air system work smoothly together.
Turbocharger is a complex engineering device though the principal behind it is quite simple. It’s pure physics. For the turbocharger to function properly, all the components of this system should be properly installed, accurately fitted and precisely coordinated. Besides, the turbocharger and the engine should be a perfect match. Otherwise, the work of both engine and turbocharger will be inefficient.
Long time ago automobile turned into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people would like to have high-powered sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to make their car a unique masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to buy them.

Car enthusiasts and those who like speed often opt for installing a turbo charger on their vehicles. The main reason why they do it is to get a faster and more efficient car. Turbo charged cars have a number of specifics and peculiarities that differ them from non-turbo cars. We will discuss one of the specifics here. The notion of turbo is closely connected with the notion of intercooler. Even if you entrust maintenance of your turbo car to a professional mechanic it is important to know what an intercooler is and how it functions. We will discuss the basics of turbo car intercoolers here.
An intercooler is a part characteristic of turbocharged and supercharged vehicles. It is similar to a radiator in non-turbo cars. As turbo charged engines are subdued to high temperatures, the main task of an intercooler is to reduce the heat so the engine is not damaged.
An intercooler lowers the temperature of the air that reaches the engine. It has special vanes where the heated air cools down by external air that passes through these vanes. Thus, it uses cold air from outside to reduce the temperature of the air inside. This is pure physics: hot air inside looses its temperature by heating up the cold air from outside. This is enough to reduce the temperature of the internal air so it can add horsepower to your vehicle. To have access to cool external air intercoolers are installed behind the front bumper. This is a perfect spot for getting cool air circulated in intercoolers’ valves.
As we have already mentioned turbocharged cars are exposed to very high temperatures and that is the main reason why intercooler is needed. Here are some more details. Turbochargers compress the air that consequently goes to the engine. And again physics: the temperature of compressed air is much higher than that of normal air. The more compressed the air is the higher its temperature is. Moreover, the more the pressure is the less oxygen this air contains. Oxygen is needed for the engine to burn the fuel. Turbochargers use much more compressed air, which means that the temperatures are higher, the pressure is greater, and thus, it is clear how important it is to install an intercooler as well. Otherwise, the consequences will be opposite to what you expected: no additional horsepower for sure!
There is also such a parameter as the effectiveness of the intercooler. Talking about intercooler effectiveness we refer to its core task of cooling the air. The effectiveness is measured by detecting to what extend the intercooler lowers the temperature of the air compressed by turbochargers.
These are the main aspects of intercoolers. I guess it is clear that turbocharged cars cannot go without intercoolers which are one of the main parts that influence the performance of your turbo car.

There is much talking about turbochargers today. Turbochargers are installed on both petrol and diesel cars. They come in different shapes, sizes and modifications. The only common thing about them is that they are meant to bring more air to the engine and thus, boost the car and improve its performance. Basically, a turbocharger is a device that intakes air and compresses it into the engine. The only question remaining is the maintenance of turbochargers. What can we do to extend the life of the turbocharger?
There are some ways to prolong the life of your turbo. The easiest way is to let your vehicle warm up before you drive and cool down before you leave the car. It is important to warm up the car in order to warm the oil. When it is cold, it is thick and heavy and it cannot lubricate the turbocharger properly. And if it is not lubricated and you start moving fast, it will damage both the turbo and the engine consequently. You should also cool the engine down because if the engine stops working abruptly, the oil circulation will stop harshly which is not good for the turbo that is still very hot. As the oil does not circulate any more, the oil which was in your turbo when you turned off the car will just stay there boiling and baking. This wears out the turbo which can cause further repair expenses. For some people it is quite annoying to sit in the car and wait for it to cool down. Luckily, there is turbo timer for such people. You can leave the car and it will shut down itself once the desired temperature is reached.
You can also extend the life span of your turbo by purchasing a blow off valve. Some cars already come with it, however, it is highly advisable to buy and aftermarket one if you plan to increase the power of your car. This valve prevents turbo surge which happens when the car is boosting and the throttle is already closed. Turbo spins at about 100,000-200,000 RPM’s. At this speed it cannot stop and start whenever the throttle closes or opens. If there is no venting valve, the air produced by turbo will stop against the closed throttle, turn around and come back to the turbo which is a very damaging process contributing to the fast wear-out of your turbo. To avoid this you need to install a recirculation valve which can vent the unused boost so no further damage happens.
And the most important thing that keeps your turbo going is change of oil. Change it regularly and opt for premium oils. Well lubricated and cool turbochargers work smoothly and effectively and last long.
Long time ago car became not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners want to have powerful sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who search how to turn their car into a unique masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.

The popularity of turbo diesel cars is growing. The percentage of these cars of the road is constantly increasing. This is a great step forward for turbo diesel cars as previously they were not much in favor due to loud performance, harshness and essential vibrations. Now the production of these cars is gaining pace. They have eliminated the above mentioned drawbacks. Besides they are more fuel efficient which promises great future for these cars.
Turbo diesel engine has a number of advantages. Its speed range is less than that of petrol cars. This is a great basis for turbo charging. Such a drawback of turbo charged cars as turbo lag will also be reduced here. In general, the efficiency of turbo diesel is much improved.
Here are some differences and specifics of diesel cars that might give you some hints as for turbo charging. To achieve ignition diesel cars need a lot of compressed air. Diesel cars are not equipped with throttle plates and there are no dump valves and you do not have to install them. The reasons why petrol cars have dump valves is high pressure. Dump valves are a bypass gadget. They help release compressed air which is of extremely high temperature. They reduce excessive pressure created due to the throttle closing. If the air is not released in time it can go back and do harm to the engine.
Diesel cars do not need this sophisticated system as they are initially designed to use compressed air at very high temperatures. This provides for a smoother performance of turbo diesel and almost complete absence of turbo lag.
Turbo diesel cars are more efficient in terms of fuel economy. Diesel cars do not waste fuel to gain high speeds. They reach high speeds and use fuel efficiently at the same time. Diesel engines burn fuel at increased level and they get maximum power. Diesel cars use the pressure to increase the speed and this pressure controls turbocharger.
Turbo diesel engines have been used for awhile now. However, they were initially installed on light trucks and only later they were used for cars and sports vehicles. Back in 1990s diesel fuel was rich in sulphur which was responsible for emission problems. That is the main reason why diesel sedans and hatchbacks were not that popular at those times and people did not buy them that much.
About a decade later the sulphur content was reduced in diesel fuel. This has lead to a growing popularity of turbo diesel cars which had none of previous problems any more.
Before you turbo charge your diesel car you need to realize that turbo adds speed, speed adds temperature which needs to be taken care of. Thus, you need to make sure that the turbo diesel engine is able to withstand increased temperature.
Long time ago car changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people are eager to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to make their car a real masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to buy them.

For those who want to add more boost to their vehicle there is a wide choice of turbo kits. These kits are very convenient and you can install it in your vehicle without professional supervision. Turbo kits are basically turbochargers that are meant for performance improvement. Once installed, they can add up to 50% more power.
Turbo kits consist of a number of performance parts which can be different depending on the manufacturer and the type of the kit you want to install. The main part of any turbo kit is a turbocharger. This is the most important part which is obligatory included into all kits. Its main function is to compress the air released as a by-product of fuel and air combustion. The released air is directed to the engine. On subsequent combustion cycles more and more power is created. The amount of power created depends on the size of the charger. Different kits have differently sized chargers. You need to understand your needs and expectation before you choose a certain size of a charger. The more powerful you want your vehicle to become the larger turbocharger you should choose. But there are some drawbacks of larger chargers which should be considered. Larger turbochargers spool up longer and thus, it takes them more time to generate maximum power. This means that you will feel considerable turbo lag before you can enjoy the whole power of your newly upgraded vehicle. The larger the charger is the longer the turbo lag. We are still talking about seconds of delay, but if that is something that might bother you, you should definitely note this peculiarity.
The majority of kits include exhaust manifold. The function of this part is to direct gas released after combustion away from engine. The gas should not go out through the exhaust pipes in this case. That is where the exhaust manifold is needed.
Most turbo kits usually include parts that account for pressure regulation. As a rule these parts are a wastegate and a by-pass valve. The wastegate controls that the pressure in the exhaust manifold is not too high. The by-pass valve ensures that the pressure of the air leaving the turbocharger is not too high so it won’t damage the engine on its way back.
Turbochargers are associated with high temperatures. Thus, most kits have parts that would take care of excessive heat. Intercooler is often included. Its main task is to reduce the temperature of the compressed air and keep it cool and dense.
These are the most important performance parts included into the majority of kits. There is also room for some variations. Study carefully what every part included into the kit is meant for to be sure you are satisfied with the result once the kit is installed.
Long time ago car became not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners are eager to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who are looking how to make their car a unique masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to buy them.

You would not want to enter the race in a stock car. It would definitely eat dust as compared to finely tuned and updated vehicles. That is the reason why most people who decide to participate in races first get their vehicles upgraded. Full turbo conversion of the car is a very expensive undertaking. That’s why some drivers choose to get their cars partially converted. Thus, a number of turbo kits are available on the market for these gradual upgrades.
Both partial and full conversions have certain drawbacks. Partially converted car is still not a dream racing car. This is a mere economical option. Installed turbo kit definitely adds some boost to the vehicle, but the result is far from what is expected from a real racing car. Of course, the best option is a full turbo conversion of the car. It will cost a lot more money. It is also quite time consuming process, but a fully converted turbo car has maximum performance improvement and minimum problems that are characteristic of partial conversion.
Before you proceed to the turbo conversion you need to make sure that the car has a fuel injection system. Fuel injection guarantees that such problems as worsened drivability, float failure and seal failure would not happen after the conversion.
The success and efficiency of the turbo conversion depends on the type of engine as well. Aspirated engines do not benefit that much from turbo conversion. Turbo charged cars are subject to high temperatures and high pressure which are difficult for aspirated engines to do well with. Neglecting this fact would lead to further negative consequences. Some precautions should be taken from overheating and other problems. First of all, the compression needs should be taken care of. It should be adjusted to the level that is comfortable for the engine to deal with.
The next step would be rings and pistons replacement. Total-Seal rings are considered to be the best option. They do not allow of blow-by and make sure the cylinder power is fully preserved. When changing the pistons opt for forged ones. They are quite expensive and sometimes hard to get. But they are worth the hunt. Cylinder head is also affected by heat. To protect it from high temperatures and extend its durability you should prefer stainless valves. If your car runs on pump gas, you need to consider installing ignition timing control. Otherwise, both the pistons and the rings will be damaged.
Professional full turbo conversion is a very cumbrous process. It involves a lot of details, matching, mixing, changing, replacement etc. Moreover, it is also a very costly process. Before getting involved in it you should consider if you are ready for it financially.
Long time ago car changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners want to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who search how to turn their car into a real masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.

There is a category of people who just can’t live without speed. They need to have vehicles with great power to get the most from the driving process. Some people give preference to turbo-charged cars while others enjoy speed more on motorcycles than in a car. Motorcycles can develop great speeds. Driving them gives you much more adrenalin than driving in the car. Turbo charged motorcycles are for real automotive daredevils.
There are motorcycles that come turbo-charged from manufacturer. Thus, you do not have to install turbo chargers yourself as you can buy the motorcycle that already comes with it. About 20 years ago Yamaha produced a turbo-charged motorcycle. At first sight it was not that fast and was inferior to some competitive brands. But once that turbo kicked in, it became the best and the fastest. Though, as any other thing in the world it had some aspects that could bother.
One of those bothering things was a turbo lag. If you were not used to driving a vehicle with turbo lag, that could cause quite an inconvenience and complicate driving the motorcycle. It is much easier and more advisable to get acquainted with turbo lag in a car than on motorcycle. There are some specifics you are advised to master before you can drive a motorcycle with turbo power smoothly.
The turbo lag of Yamaha motorcycles lasted from two to four seconds. This means that when you give it the throttle you would have to wait for that extra boost to kick in for up to four seconds. Meanwhile, it would accelerate and the RPM would go up to redline. Not the best four seconds in your life! After this moment is over, you can really feel how powerful the motorcycle is and enjoy the speed. But each time you want to add more boost you would still experience unpleasant consequences of turbo lag.
If you drive the motorcycle on the straight road the driving process goes much smoother. You can run through the gears very fast. But this is not the case if you participate in the race in the mountains. Canyon runs create additional obstacles: uneven way, mountains around, complicated turns etc. Moreover, you would experience some difficulties due to the turbo lag. For example, in situation where you go for the corner fed in the throttle, the turbo would kick in and you would face two options: if you up-shift the speed would be over the limit; if you hit the breaks you would be out of the corner. Tough alternative! It would take quite a while to get used to this peculiarity of the turbo charged motorcycle. The clear conclusion is that turbo lag is not the best attribute of racing bikes.
Long time ago car turned into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people would like to have high-powered sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who search how to turn their car into a real masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.

In the past turbo cars were associated with unreliable performance and turbo lag which did not contribute to their popularity. However, since then innovative turbo technologies have changed it and now turbo cars show great performance and perfect drivability. The quality of turbo car performance depends on the quality of car parts and engine system.
Before you decide to convert your car into a turbo you need to get a professional advice if you should do it. Not every car should be changed. If your car has a better performance being a non turbo car then it’s better to leave it that way because it is all about performance and smooth operation of the car. Some manufacturers have options: the models which are initially non turbo are presented with already installed turbo system. Such cars as Mitsubishi Eclipse and 3000 GT are great sports cars. But their performance is much better when they stay non turbo. These cars are not advisable to be converted into turbo cars. It is better to buy an already existent turbo version.
If you decide to convert your car into turbo car, there are a lot of details and peculiarities to consider. Engine is the most important part that should be taken into consideration while conversion. First of all you need to take care of compression level that can be managed by the engine. Once turbocharged the engine will take much pressure and heat and you need to ensure that engine wear does not increase due to this fact.
Consider in advance where you will use the car. It will help you decide if any alterations and adjustments should be implemented into your block. For standard road use the best option is the boost. For track use you should consider installing a steel shim gasket for better performance of your car. Before turbo charging your car you need to check its fuel management. To have the car turbo charged the car should be fuel injected. Forged pistons go with turbocharged cars ideally though they can cost quite a fortune. But it is highly advisable to get the best car parts if you want to convert your car successfully and enjoy its great performance.
Converting the car into turbo is a great investment while the price of such vehicles increases greatly. Besides, driving a turbo car gives a lot more pleasure and enjoyment than a non turbo car. These are the advantages and aspirations from getting your car turbo charged. However, you should also get ready for the fact that this is a costly undertaking. Both car parts and the labor required for the conversion cost a lot. However, the most difficult and expensive aspect is that some cars require certain details for the car to be turbocharged and they are not available on the market, thus, they would require being custom made.
Long time ago automobile became not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people want to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who search how to make their car a real masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to purchase them.

Turbochargers are the first thing that comes to mind when people think of adding some boost to their vehicles. Turbo kits once installed improve the performance of the car sufficiently. However, those who think that it is also the most cost-effective way to update the car will be disappointed. This is a great premise for expenses. There are different engine modifications and different turbo tuning options. The choice is so wide that it is difficult to resist purchasing all options for real car enthusiasts. If you have enough money you can definitely enjoy experimenting with different modifications and setups till you are absolutely satisfied with the achieved result.
If you hire a professional to install turbo kit you will find out that a number of factors determine which type of kit fits a specific vehicle. First of all think of the most common driving mode you will use. Your driving intentions and expectations should coincide with the characteristics of boost delivery.
If you intend to drive the car on a race track you can’t afford to keep your car at low speeds. Thus, you would need a larger turbo for higher speeds. Larger turbochargers provide more power as they can let in and compress more air. However, there is also a notion of turbo lag which is a great disadvantage in terms of speed. Smaller turbos create less power and they have shorter turbo lag. If you need more power and you opt for larger turbos you should understand that turbo lag will also increase. Larger turbos have a substantially felt lag at high RPMs. It is like an on /off switch feeling. This phenomenon complicates driving and can become a real challenge for inexperienced drivers. You need to get used to this kind of power delivery. Only then you’ll feel comfortable at the driver’s seat. Luckily, there are some ways to fight turbo lag. Some drivers use nitrous system. Its function is to bridge the gap between low-rev driving and the maximum boost. Larger turbos require intercoolers and venting systems to deal with excessive heat.
If you intend to drive mostly on the street you would appreciate smooth power delivery. It would make driving on the street more relaxing and pleasant. Here the priorities shift. On the streets security and reliability of the car are more important that peak boost. Regular boost is a much more suitable variant for street driving. Here you can use smaller turbos. They generate less power than larger turbos but the amounts they generate will be enough for street driving. Besides, you would not have to deal with high temperatures and high RPMs. This means that the engine will last longer. Thus, you can see that it is not only about choosing the most powerful turbo. It’s about matching your driving intentions with boost delivery characteristics.
Long time ago car turned into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people want to have high-powered sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who are looking how to turn their car into a unique masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to purchase them.

If you want to improve the performance of your car professionals would advise you to install either turbochargers or superchargers. These are the best parts you can get for better performance of your vehicle. They create extreme power which makes your car go wild. Due to these parts the amount of power in your car can be doubled or even tripled. This is either a great improvement for your car or an obligatory update if you are a racer. If you want to make your car the fastest these parts are a must.
Are turbos compatible with all engines? Yes, turbos are compatible with nearly any engine. Things to check are: the decompressed engine block and the exhaust manifold. They must be the right size. Before updating your car you need to decide what you need: a smaller or a larger turbo. The advantages and disadvantages are the following: a smaller turbo is characterized by faster boost response but it creates limited amount of power; a larger turbo gives slower boost response but once it kicks in it compensates for the time lost over and above. Turbos stick to kind of recycling principle of work as they use exhaust gas to get power for air compression. This is the reason why they have the same temperature as the engine. That is why they require good cooling systems and high rated oils.
Aside from the already mentioned benefits you get from installing turbos there are some more advantages: you can additionally use boost controllers for even more power and you can upgrade turbos from time to time for the maximum and optimal performance of your car. To be realistic we need to mention some drawbacks as well. Excess of heat is one of them. Turbos produce more power and thus, more heat. This leads to the problem of dense air impossible to compress. This problem can be solved by additional installment of intercooler. Besides you can’t just jump in your turbo and go. You need to heat it up before the race and you need to give it some time to cool after it.
Superchargers is another part used to improve the performance of the vehicle. It also fits nearly every engine. Supercharges exist in two modifications and both create power by means of fanbelt pulley. Even a basic kit ensures power increase up to 40-50%. They differ from turbochargers in the following ways: they are ready to go once you start the car; they last longer and require less maintenance, they produce boost at 2000 RPMs. On the other hand, superchargers give additional strain to the engine as they use pulley for producing power. Besides, if you need more power you would have to buy a whole new kit as updates are hardly installed on it. Consider all the pros and cons before you choose what parts to use.
Long time ago automobile changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people would like to have high-powered sport car but not all of them can afford it. If you want to add extra speed to your car you should definitely opt for turbochargers. They are sure to speed up your car by means of air compression. The process is as follows: the air enters the engine, it is compressed, thus, allowing for more air and consequently more fuel. This gives further effect: the cylinders will give more power as well which is a basis for much faster acceleration. The principle of turbochargers’ operation is similar to recycling principle. For it to accumulate power for air compression it uses waste steam. The only drawback here is that this is accompanied by high temperatures which would consequently require sufficient cooling.
In terms of power turbo cars definitely have an advantage. Turbo cars are more powerful, more efficient due to the recycling principle which we have already described. Turbochargers are also space efficient as they can fit into the cars with 4 cylinders. Another advantage is that turbo cars are fuel efficient: they consume a certain amount of fuel needed for particular engine though it might seem that for those speeds they develop and the power they achieve they need larger engines.
Along with advantages turbo cars have certain disadvantages. To diminish the disadvantages one should make sure the turbo is well fitted and well sized. This will ensure that turbo has necessary effect on boosting. If the turbocharger is not fitted and sized properly it will affect negatively the acceleration. Another disadvantage is turbo lag. Its inconveniency is felt especially when racing while here perfect timing is of paramount importance as it helps to reach the turbo car’s best performance. Installing turbochargers is expensive which might be considered another disadvantage. It will not only be expensive to install it but you would also need a lot of money to introduce the required regular updates. To install it yourself you would need extensive engineering knowledge and skills. If you are not sure you have it, you should better hire a professional to do it which is also quite expensive.
For many people it is very important to have a faster and better performing car. However, the decision to install a turbo kit should be well considered. You should understand that it is not an easy process and it requires much money and effort. If a turbo car is only a status symbol for you, then you should not get involved in this turbo kit installment process. However, if it is vital for you to feel the wild spirit of the car and its power then it is a great option for you. But remember that installing turbo is only a part of the task. You will have to ensure proper maintaining of your turbo car which is quite different from maintaining a non turbo vehicle.

A turbo kit can be installed on any car. That is great news for those who favor fast cars with wild temperament. Installed turbo kit increases the value of the vehicle. However, its installation is also an expensive undertaking. If you decide to install it you need to hire the best professionals because you really don’t want your turbo to break down as it will lead to even higher expenses.
After the turbo kit installed there are a number of tips how to take care of the turbo car in order for it to operate smoothly. Maybe the most important aspect is oil. Turbo needs enough of it to operate smoothly, cool and lubricate efficiently. Oil secures perfect operation for the turbo. There is a great choice of oil on the market now. You need to use synthetic oil for your turbo. As the temperatures of the turbo car engines are much higher this oil has the highest thermal withstanding ratio. Turbo cars require the change of oil every 2500-3000 miles. For turbo cars owners it is highly advisable to check the level of oil frequently. Such cars go through excess heat, pressure and other strenuous conditions. Thus, the oil level should be always checked. Do not turn off the car before you make sure the oil has cooled down. This will decrease the chances of turbo bearings and oil lines damage. After you change the oil make sure turbo bearings are properly lubricated. Without this check do not start the car!
These are the main points how to take care of turbo cars. If you follow these tips it will be much easier to maintain your turbo car in good condition. If you want to go further and give even more care to your turbo car there is a number of supplementary tips. Here are some of them. You need to check the condition of waste gate signaling hose. It should not be cracked or hardened. Then make sure the throttle position sensor operates well enough. For it to go on smoothly all the time you need to clean the body of the throttle every 30,000 miles. The condition of the tires is also crucial for the proper operation of turbo. Make sure they don’t go bald otherwise it will affect negatively the suspension. Bald tires cause just further problems leading to big repair costs. Air filter is another matter of concern. You need to change it every 10,000 miles. Every 40,000 you need to remember to change the timing belt. All these tips if followed provide for proper maintenance of a turbo car. They help maximize and optimize the performance of the car as well as lengthen its life.
Turbo car is not an ordinary car. It is a great achievement of engineering, thus it requires relevant maintenance.

A turbocharger is a fuel-driven turbine aimed at air compression with the purpose of increasing the power and torque of the engine. If you want a more powerful turbine you should consider placing together air compression and density increase. It enables the engine to have more oxygen per burn. The energy released is directed to the pistons which move the compressed air. This leads to greater amounts of air and fuel within the engine. Thus, you can enjoy your much speedier car and get more pleasure from driving!
Cars with turbo engines are in great demand now and are favored by more and more people. Many cars have twin turbo engines. It has a number of advantages for those who like to feel the power of the vehicle. Twin turbo engine means two turbo chargers aimed at optimal work with air compression.
The advantages of twin turbo are numerous. We will discuss them here. Twin turbo setup provides for the reduction of the lag. It helps produce power faster by using 4 cylinders while single turbo requires all 8 cylinders for optimal boost. This type of engine is great for regular driving in city or normal regime. Twin turbo takes care of smooth engine functioning. In terms of expenses two smaller turbo charges are more efficient than one bigger one. However, some engines require twin turbo chargers for better and more efficient operation. This is related to V-type engines. They work much better together with twin turbo chargers. Of course there are a couple of disadvantages of twin turbo as compared to single one: it takes up more space and its installation is essentially more expensive.
The advantages of single turbo are also worth being taken into consideration. If you need a perfect car for drag driving you should consider single turbo as it is the best option when you need high amount of power. Having power on one side you would have to deal with lag problem on the other side. It is much easier to set up a single turbo than a double one. It is smaller, compact and takes much less space than a twin turbo. This type cools better. Single turbo itself as well as its installation are more cost efficient. As opposed to twin turbo it produces maximum boost at higher RPM. With single turbo you can increase the power to 1500 horsepower and more by acquiring larger setups.
This is a brief comparison of twin and single turbo. The main points show that if you want to reduce lagging, you need to install twin turbo. If you have a car with the V-type engine, you should opt for twin variant as well. And for inline layout, single turbo setup is the best option.
Long time ago car turned into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners are eager to have high-powered sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who search how to make their car a real masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.
Even if you fail to find anything you require, don’t get upset. Nowadays we have a really unique chance to choose what you want at the best terms which are available on the market. All that we need is the online technologies. Use search engines, google for “car performance parts“, review blogs, social networks and forums. All this will help you get lots of various info. People well versed in vehicles know what twin turbo kit is. This term is familiar almost to everybody today. But the information most people have about it is very general. The majority of average people associate twin turbo kits with fast cars and loud engines. Now it’s time to clear up the situation and see what really stands behind these kits.
The main purpose of twin turbo kit is to add more boost and thus increase the power and performance of the car. The noise is a side effect as a rule. Well, it is a side affect for some people while others actually like it. The roar of the car reveals its wild temperament and is a sign of a fast car. So, those associations are well grounded.
To understand the notion of twin turbo kit clearly you should understand the meaning of each word. The first word is easy. Twin means two or double. But now we need to clarify what it is about. It’s about two turbo chargers. They can be either parallel or sequential.
Terms ‘parallel’ and ‘sequential’ are quite descriptive. Parallel turbo chargers are smaller than a single turbo. They both look the same and turn on at the same time. Two smaller turbos mean that the compression of the intake charge is done faster. Though the amount of boost provided by parallel turbos and a single one is the same, but two smaller turbos reach its maximum volume much faster.
The sequential variant is much more complicated. They do not turn on simultaneously. One of them works all the time through the whole rev range while the other one turns on at the higher RPM. This system has some advantages over the parallel turbos as it has the reduced turbo lag and can have extra boost at higher RPM. This is its biggest advantage over the single turbo system as well.
The second word means turbocharger. It directs the compressed air to the internal combustion engine. It is a smoothly operating interconnected system where the compressor in turbocharger is powered by turbine which is activated by the exhaust gases. The compressed air gives more power to the engine.
The last word is also clear. A kit means you have everything needed for a certain purpose. In case of twin turbo, kit means that there is everything you need to turbo charge your vehicle.
Turbo chargers are a great choice for those who like their cars fast and loud. The good news is that any car can be turbo charged! If the only thing that stops your from this step is the thought that you won’t use it every day don’t worry about it. There are certain moments when you just have to use it to feel how great life is and add more fun to it!
Long time ago automobile changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners are eager to have high-powered sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who are looking how to make their car a real masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to buy them.

If you are an experienced driver, but are not satisfied with speed characteristics of your car, this article is meant definitely for you. Here we tried to touch all the issues associated with boosting up a car, ways to speed it up, their pros and cons.
So, those who are eager to improve speed characteristics of a vehicle can get a turbo kit installed. Any kit consists of a turbocharger and a lot of details that support its performance. In short, the whole car system will be converted into a turbo one. That is why it is so expensive: you should pay not only for the kit itself (the price for which is really exorbitant), but also for the installation service (do not expect that you will be able to bolt up everything yourself).
A turbocharger is aimed at compressing the air and forcing it into the engine. This allows more air and then fuel enter the engine, which adds maximum power to the latter. Such process proved to be advantageous due to several factors: first of all, we get a much faster car, and secondly, it does not become fuel-hungry, since the engine wasn’t replaced with a larger one. Isn’t it perfect?
Of course, adding maximum performance to an engine is obvious and appreciated by many drivers. But what’s about disadvantages? What are they? The most evident of them is putting additional strain on the engine, which a turbocharger inevitably does. In order to mitigate the negative consequences, an intercooler is usually installed, since it protects the engine from overheating. High pressures which are also generated due to the work of a turbocharger are controlled by the wastegates and blow-off valves that control the pressure of ingoing and outgoing airstreams.
Another disadvantage which was mentioned above is comparatively high price for converting a car from non-turbo into a turbo one. And it is really not going to plummet. Of course, this price is justified, since both the turbo kit and the installation service are worth of it. The question is whether the installation a turbo kit is justified for all the cars.
Certainly, all the drivers want to drive the best and the fastest cars. And this is a necessity for those who are keen on racing, for example. But what about those who spend most of the time in the traffic jams on the way from home to office? Is it worth spending big money for a turbo kit in this case? I guess – not. What is the use of a turbo car, if you can’t use its maximum performance? So, before undertaking installation of an expensive turbo kit, think twice whether you really need it. And only then start spending your money.
Long time ago car became not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people want to have high-powered sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to make their car a unique masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to buy them.

Turbo charging has proved to have a lot of major advantages, but it is a common fact that even a slight doubtful issue can become a fly in ointment. That is just the case with the turbo lag. This issue is sure to be brought up in any turbo charging discussion. This is a major issue for most drivers. But the most important thing is to understand the concept of turbo lag correctly. Turbo lag is the time the turbo takes to spin fast enough to produce boost pressure.
The turbo lag problem dates back to the 80s when turbo chargers entered mass market and got many people want turbo vehicles. Such brands as Nissan and Mitsubishi launched turbo cars to satisfy the public demand for such vehicles. These were not what we presume by turbo cars today as they focused more on reliability and cost than on performance. Thus adding ‘Turbo’ to the name of the model was a smart marketing move not more.
These manufacturers did not only exploit the concept of ‘turbo’, but they also damaged it by bringing misunderstanding to the concept of ‘turbo lag’ due to making some wrong decisions. They manufactured turbocharged automobiles without intercoolers. This was done to reduce the cost of the cars. As a result there was nothing to cool high temperatures of the compressed air with. This increased the chances of detonation. To fight these drawbacks the manufacturers simply reduces the compression ratio of the engine. By doing so could they expect that the vehicle would preserve all its power? No!
Luckily, these vehicles were equipped with small turbos which made it possible to spool fast enough, but still the drawback was there and it affected the exhaust system. The scavenging ability decreased while reversion possibility increased. As a result the engine’s volumetric efficiency was reduced which consequently has lead to even less power and poor performance. Fortunately, manufacturers managed to eliminate these drawbacks by post pressure production. But even with a decreased compression ratio, reduced volumetric efficiency and high back pressure these turbo charged vehicles managed to make a statement after those couple of seconds when the turbo spooled up were over. This was a fair compensation for the drawbacks.
However, from those times on turbo technologies have been rapidly developing. Now it is possible to have it all: intercoolers, lowered temperatures produced by air compression without reducing the compression ratio and powerful vehicle with excellent performance. Besides, the problem of the back pressure has been also resolved by running a bit larger turbo that suits the exhaust system better. Well, all these innovations should put an end to eloquent discussions about turbo lag. It is still there, but it does not hinder the power or performance of the vehicle any more.
Long time ago car changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people want to have high-powered sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who search how to turn their car into a unique masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to purchase them.

Nowadays all of us are eager to become professional drivers, since we understand that due to driving a vehicle we become relatively free: we are able to go wherever and whenever we want. At the same time most of us who at last obtain a car sooner or later become not satisfied with its either driving or speed characteristics, and this is when all interesting starts.
A lot of drivers invest money in car tuning, because they expect that it will become much better after certain changes. And actually they are right. Those who dare to spend money for changing shock absorbers, wheels and even suspension, admit that after such changes their cars handle much better allowing the drivers to be more confident in various driving situations.
And finally, there is another category of drivers who always claim that their cars are too slow. And hence they want to boost up their vehicles. In this case only installation of a turbo kit will be a proper solution.
As a rule, turbo kits consist of a turbocharger and a lot of supporting details which ensure its efficient operation. Since this is a very complicated system, it is, of course, rather expensive. And moreover, it is not meant for domestic installation – only the experts will do this properly. So, those who decide to install a turbo kit should be ready to pay for the installation service as well.
So, a turbo kit works as a compressor – it compresses air and forces it into the engine. Due to this process the engine receives more air and consequently fuel and gets more horse power. Obviously, a turbocharger changes a small engine into a high-power one, equal in performance with a larger one. And this positively reflects on the fuel consumption, since a turbo car is much faster, but is not as fuel-hungry as the one with a larger engine. And it is worth mentioning, that such fuel economy is appreciated by many drivers, who do not like to overpay for the fuel which becomes more expensive day by day.
So, what a re the supporting parts? And what is their purpose? Why are they installed under the hood together with a turbocharger?
We won’t mention all of them, since you really do not need to know all of them unless you are going to become a car mechanic. What you need to know is the main principle of work of a turbocharger and its influence on the engine.
A turbocharger puts additional strain on the engine, since the latter will suffer from high temperatures and pressure generated by the turbo. This may lead to fast engine’s wearing out. That is why an intercooler is obligatory installed to protect the engine from overheating. Wastegates and blow-off valves are aimed to protect the engine from high pressure, since they regulate the pressure of incoming and outgoing airstreams.
Evidently, a lot of other parts will be installed for proper work of a turbo car. What is required from you is to find money and experts who will take care of the whole process.
Long time ago automobile changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners are eager to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who are looking how to turn their car into a real masterpiece, go to this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.

Turbocharging enjoys tremendous popularity today. More and more drivers decide to convert their non-turbo cars. And such decisions really are wise. A turbocharger allows to increase car’s horsepower greatly without replacing an engine with the bigger one. And this is profitable due to several reasons: first of all, the weight of the car remains really the same (it does not increase because of a bigger engine), then (that it is even more important) the fuel consumption remains at the same level, you do not have to feed the hungry engine by the enormous volumes of fuel. Also, a turbocharger is perfect for diesel engines, since they are famous for their poor performance. But everything changes when they are turbocharged. And now it becomes completely clear why the turbos are extremely popular.
But there is another side of the coin about which we are going to speak in this article. Today turbocharging is so popular that there a question gets up if all the expenses are justified and a driver really needs a turbocharged vehicle or this is just fashion following.
Only think about most of the drivers. It is clear that most of them are the megalopolises’ citizens, since the biggest concentration of vehicles that ends in traffic jams is in the big cities. Then think about what are conditions these “the happiest citizens of big cities” drive in general. Most of them use their beloved vehicles for the route of “house-to-office”. So, let’s think if really they need a turbo vehicle, if they spend half of his lives in the heavy jams? I think, not really. More probably, those that strive for installing the largest possible turbochargers want to impress their friends or be as cool as those drivers who drive the last released models they have just bought. Whatever is the reason, it is only a expensive reasonless whim. Not more.
So, having realized this, most of the drivers should not confront a reality and on the contrary think carefully if they really need expensive turbocharger installed. If you live in a big city and have seen races only for the TV, it is better to shy away from turbocharging the vehicle, since this cannot justify most of the unreasonable expectations. If you still want to improve your car, better to think about technologies of fuel saving – they are very important today, when the prices of the fuel are not going to fall down at all. Or you can improve car handling due to changing the shock absorbers, wheels or even the suspension, if you have some money to spend. All these changes will reflect positively on your car and you will obtain more confidence while driving your vehicle.
Long time ago car became not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people want to have high-powered sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to make their car a real masterpiece, go to this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to buy them.

Today you will not surprise anybody by a turbocharger vehicle. Many automatic manufacturers offer cars with already built-in turbochargers, and those drivers who have older cars spend big money to install turbocharger to speed them up. So, most of the drivers strive for having faster cars and due to the availability of turbo kits they obtain what they want.
It is clear that time passes and everything changes and develops. This concerns turbocharging technologies also. Today it becomes more and more popular to install double turbo systems that turned out to be more efficient than a single turbo.
So, there is a question what is a double turbo kit? According to its name, it consists of two turbos that compress the air and direct it in an engine. But the system is a little more complicated, rather than two turbochargers installed under the hood of a vehicle. Really, there are two configurations of a double kit of available: parallel or sequential.
By what the parallel configuration is considered, it supposes two identical turbos that are smaller than an installed alone turbocharger. They work simultaneously. And in the result of the simultaneous operation of two turbo the compression is completed much more faster, and the threshold increase is reached quicker rather than in case of a big alone turbo, and the same quantity of the power is produced.
A sequential configuration is a little more complicated. The turbos do not work simultaneously: a turbocharger works during the entire Rev, while the other activates in the higher REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE. Such a configuration is characterized by delay and additional increase in the higher REVOLUTIONS FOR MINUTE.
So, the principal advantage of both systems is less a delay of accelerating that is so annoying in general. At the same time, the sequential turbocharger system adds more power to an engine than a system with a one big turbocharger. This explains the constantly increasing popularity of double turbo kits and the partial refusal from single big turbos.
Hence, as soon as you decide to speed up your car, be prepared that the experts will offer you a double turbocharger system for the installation instead of a traditional big single turbo. Of course, you will not choose what configuration, parallel or simultaneous, you should get installed. This must be defined by the experts.
What’s needed of you is: the money (not less than several thousands of dollars) and patience to use the public transport during some time (this is not an urgent matter). And soon you will be able to enjoy the speed of your vehicle which will become better than a new one. So, I guess this is worth of spent money, isn’t it?
Long time ago automobile became not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people would like to have powerful sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to turn their car into a unique masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.

If you are going to install a turbocharger, expect boosting up your vehicle by 30-40%. Do not think that it is something unreal. Due to installing a turbo kit all your dreams concerning the fastest car will come true. But at the same time be prepared that all your dreams will require a round sum, since turbocharging is a rather complicated and expensive process. So, if you are still keen on the process, read further.
Installation a turbo kit will require certain preparation from you. You’ll need to prepare not only money, but make an uneasy choice of a turbocharger. And this is the most important step, since the right choice is the key to success.
So, as soon as you decide to purchase a turbocharger, consider different options. Today it is possible to get larger or smaller turbocharger installed, depending on the needs of a driver. In case you are a born racer, then a large turbocharger is what you need. Due to it your car will get maximum performance and other cars will eat dust. At the same time be prepared for an extended turbo lag, which is inevitable for large turbos. But if you use your car for driving in a city and are not keen on street racing too much, then a small turbocharger will be a way out for you, since it has an almost imperceptible lag and at the same time adds limited power to your engine. But the final choice should be made by an expert who will also take into consideration all technical characteristics of a turbocharger and the engine of your car.
Today it is even possible to get two turbochargers installed simultaneously. This is called twin turbo set which can be either parallel or sequential, depending on the principle of performance of turbochargers (either simultaneous or in chain). But irrespective of their technical features both types of twin sets are aimed at boosting a car. So, taking into account the variety of choice nowadays, it is better to rely on experts in choice of a turbocharger.
Another issue to discuss is what will be installed under the hood of your car in addition to a turbocharger. Do not expect to get only the turbo, the whole system is to be converted and hence a lot of parts will be installed, in order to ensure smooth and efficient work of a turbocharger.
Among all other details the most important are supposed to be those which protect the engine from quick wearing out, since it is well-known that a turbocharger puts additional strain on it. Thus an intercooler will protect the engine from overheating, because the turbocharger is a source of really high temperatures. Blow-off valves and wastegates, in their turn, will ensure pressure control of incoming and outgoing airstreams. These are only a few details of the whole list which will be installed under the hood of your vehicle. So, get prepared to substantial changes and high seed in the end!

If you need a faster car, then you know what to do! If you still don’t then read this article.
Nowadays it is quite easy to boost up a car due to installing a turbocharger. And a lot of drivers know this and strive to get turbos under the hoods of their iron friends. What is actually needed is money since turbo kits and installation service are not cheap at all. You’ll need to collect several thousands of dollars to pay for this. But be sure that the game is worth the candles: you will not recognize your car when you get it back. It will become much faster due to obtained outstanding speed characteristics.
Though a turbo kit will be installed (and actually chosen by experienced car mechanics) you still need to know some basic information about turbochargers at least to be aware of what you will get under the hood of your car.
So, first of all, a turbocharger itself. They can be of different size (smaller or larger), have different characteristics or even two turbos may be installed under the hood. The choice is usually made by an expert, but you should need to know the following. As a rule, large turbos are installed into the racing cars where high speeds are desired. They add maximum power to an engine which is necessary for each street racer. But large turbos have one rather significant disadvantage – extended turbo lag during acceleration. So, those who find it really inconvenient and think that racing is not for them may get installed a smaller turbo, which adds less power (but usually it is sufficient for daily street driving), at the same time has less lag as well.
A turbocharger is never installed alone. The whole car mechanics will be changed. It is done due to several reasons. First of all, a lot of details are necessary to ensure smooth and efficient operation of a turbocharger. At the same time a turbo puts additional strain on the engine, and the latter needs protection from high temperatures and pressure. Protection from overheating is ensured by an intercooler, protection from high pressures of the incoming and outgoing air streams – by the blow-off valves and wastegates. Besides, a lot of other parts will be installed, so you can understand now why boosting up a car is really expensive and you cannot bolt up everything yourself.
Another thing for you to remember: never try to save money by addressing to the amateurs. Certainly, their service is not as expensive as of the experts, but who can be sure that they will do everything properly? Since you are ready to part with a round sum while purchasing a turbo kit, do not economize money on service. Such economy is not justified

Wanna boost up your car? Think that it is too slow? Then install a turbocharger and other vehicles will eat dust when you are on the road. Now we will speak what you’ll need for boosting up your vehicle.
So, first and foremost is money. Installation of the turbocharger is very expensive. Thousands of dollars will be spent for it. A lot of experts claim that it is much easier and cheaper to buy a new car already equipped with a turbocharger rather than to upgrade the one you have. But you should think of your particular case and act accordingly: if you already have a good vehicle, why should you buy a new one? Just upgrade your iron friend.
What you should also be prepared for is spending time – installing a turbo kit is a complicated process. It is impossible just to bolt up all the parts during one day. That is why get ready to leave your car at a tune shop for a certain period and become dependent on public transport. Certainly, it is rather troublesome to become dependent on the timetable again, but on the other hand just think about your future upgraded car, and you’ll realize that the game is worth the candles.
And the last thing which is required from you is purchasing a turbo kit with a right turbocharger. You should not choose the latter according to the principle “the larger the better”, since there is no guarantee that the largest turbocharger which is expected to generate maximum power will suit your particular engine. You should choose what suits in your case.
Today there are different types of turbochargers available. You can even get installed a twin turbo system when two small turbos are installed into one car simultaneously. And if we take into consideration that this twin turbo kit may be of two types: parallel and sequential, you will understand that it is really unreasonable to look for the largest turbo only. The choice is much broader.
As soon as the turbo kit is chosen, entrust your car to the experts at a tune shop. On this stage you have nothing to do, but just patiently wait until all the parts of the turbo kit are installed. And when you get your car back, it will be really insane on the road.
To sum up, what is required personally from you to increase your car performance? First of all, to have a car, to collect money for expensive turbo kit and installation service, choose a turbo kit and find expert who will install everything properly. Actually, you do not need to be aware of all technical details –leave it to specialists. And when you get your car back, enjoy the speed.
Long time ago car changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners would like to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who are looking how to make their car a real masterpiece, go to this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to purchase them.

Installing turbochargers is quite popular today though it is very expensive. And obviously, all the expenses are justified, since probably this is the most efficient car conversion which really adds more horse power to the engine. All the drivers who are not satisfied with speed features of their cars strive to install turbo kits. Now this is a real fashionable tendency to drive a turbo car. But unfortunately not all of those who follow the fashion really need expensive turbo vehicles. And let’s think why.
Today cars are widely available and more and more people use them every day for reaching different destinations. Of course, if it is a highway or a driver is a born racer and can’t imagine his or her life without race tracks, then a turbo car is a must. Here low speeds are undesirable and it is really important to be the fastest. But what’s about much broader category of drivers who drive their cars on the route “home-office-home”, for example?
I really doubt that in this case a turbo car will be on any use. Especially, if to speak of the citizens of megalopolises where traffic jams are so frequent that no one really pays attention to them. Spending half of the life in a jam during rush hours is a destiny of the “happy” citizens of big cities. And there is no difference whether you drive a turbo car or non-turbo; you won’t have an opportunity to get maximum performance of your car. So, as soon as you start thinking of upgrading your car and installing a turbocharger, stop and think: may be some other kind of car tuning will be more useful for you.
For example, now it is possible to significantly improve driving characteristics of any vehicle. Changing shock absorbers, wheels and even suspension will be really useful. You will feel more comfortable and prepared for various driving situations.
Some of the drivers undertake changes for reducing fuel consumption. Moreover, today there is a tendency to buy cars with smaller engines, since they are not so fuel hungry and are more suitable for driving in a city. So, think twice, may be this is your particular case.
And those who still want to install turbochargers should bear in mind that this is a long and complicated process where the main difficulty is the choice of a turbocharger. The largest turbos are not suitable to all cars though they really produce maximum power. Better ask experts for a piece of advice what turbo to install. In this case you will avoid various problems with your vehicle in future which may appear because of installing a wrong-sized turbocharger and get a real fast car.

Being a driver means not only ability to drive, but knowing a lot about cars. Especially the car you drive. Nowadays more and more drivers prefer to entrust their cars to experienced car mechanics rather then bolting up everything themselves. Certainly, it is rather convenient and saves much time, since while your car is being repaired, for example, you can devote this time to some other important things. The same we can say about upgrading a car for boosting it up. Experienced car mechanics will choose and install a turbo kit to add the vehicle more horse power. But this does not mean that you should have no idea what is installed under the hood of your iron friend and what is its function. Below is the basic information which should be known by each car amateur about turbochargers. If you still lack this knowledge, read further.
So, a turbocharger is the main part of any turbo kit, since it does the miracle of speeding up. It works as a kind of compressor to force the compressed air to the engine. Consequently, comparatively more air and hence fuel comes to an engine adding it more power. Due to this process we get high power engine of the same size. This is very advantageous, since there is no need of changing the engine into a larger one and hence the car does not become fuel hungry. So, here we may speak even of saving money due to the turbocharger, since you won’t need to purchase more fuel, when you start driving really fast.
In addition to the turbocharger a lot of other details will be installed. They are extremely important, since without them the turbo process would be impossible. For example, an exhaust manifold serves for direction of air streams, blow-off valves and wastegates control the pressure of incoming and outgoing air streams. An intercooler is aimed at protection of the engine from overheating. Entire car system will be converted into turbo one.
What you need to know also is that larger turbos provide more power. But this does not mean that the largest turbo is the best possible solution for your car. It is a real art to choose a suitable turbocharger, for a vehicle to speed it up. Very often drivers see no difference or even face additional problems after their cars were upgraded. This happens only because wrong-sized turbos were installed.
To avoid such problems you should entrust your vehicle to the experts who will make the right choice. May be you will get a twin turbo system installed (two small turbos) who knows. Each car model differs and has different requirements that is why it would be unreasonable to install identical turbos in all the cases.
Long time ago car became not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners want to have powerful sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who want to know how to turn their car into a unique masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to purchase them.
Even if you fail to find anything you require, don’t get disappointed. Today we have a truly unique chance to choose exactly what you need for the best price on the market. If you add a turbocharger to your vehicle, it will give your car a tremendous increase in horsepower, much bigger than any other engine modification. That is why a lot of drivers strive to get turbochargers under the hood of their iron friends. Certainly, it requires big money and some time, since the installation process is not easy at all. So, as soon as you decide that your car lacks power and you need to convert it into a turbo-one, be prepared to face certain problems.
The first is, of course, money. Containing a lot of details, turbo kits are very expensive. Actually, you will need to spend several thousands only for the details: the whole car system will be modified. Besides, do not forget that the installation process costs money. If you want to get everything properly installed, do not try to save money and find real professionals for this. Obviously, some amateurs will not require big money for their service, but you can’t be confident that everything will be installed properly and you won’t have problems with you turbo vehicle immediately after the turbocharger is installed.
Another problem which you will face is the problem of choice which is never easy. Which turbocharger to install? – This is the question of many drivers who are going to convert their vehicles. There are different opinions, various solutions and only an expert can decide what suits your car model the best. For example, a lot of people think that the larger turbocharger is the better solution. In the end they are not satisfied with their turbo vehicle, since it does not show outstanding speed characteristics, but has got an extended turbo lag instead. That is why it is so important to get expert’s advice.
Besides, today it becomes quite popular to install twin turbo sets which means that two smaller turbos are installed into one vehicle. This proved to be very efficient and hence enjoys great popularity among drivers. And if I add that this twin turbo system can be of two types – parallel and sequential – you will realize how it will be difficult to make the right choice and install a proper turbocharger. That is why leave this issue to the experts.
And the last problem you should be prepared to is becoming a pedestrian again. Do not expect that all changes will be made within one day. Installing a turbocharger requires time, and for this period when your car is at the tune shop, you’ll have to depend on the timetable of the public transport. So, do not feel frustrated. Think of how faster your car will become, and this will definitely help you to live through hard times.
Long time ago automobile turned into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people are eager to have powerful sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who are looking how to make their car a unique masterpiece, visit this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.

It is self-evident that turbo-vehicles are perfect, since they give an opportunity to enjoy speed and become the fastest on the road. This explains growing popularity of cars equipped with turbochargers. Understanding drivers’ requirements and yearnings for speed, car manufacturers offer various car models with built-in turbochargers. Nowadays diesel turbo cars are especially popular among drivers, as turbo diesel engines proved to be very efficient. At the same time installing turbochargers into older models is also very popular, since most of the drivers strive to upgrade the cars they have, though a lot of skeptics claim that it is so expensive and troublesome to upgrade a car and it is not worth powder and shot. But they are right only partially: converting a car into turbo-vehicle is expensive and requires much effort and time, but it is really worth of all the pains, since the car will be changed drastically.
So, as soon as you start believing that installing a turbocharger is a way out for you and you really need a faster car, start collecting money, as this is a very costly treat. It will require from you thousands of dollars, since the entire car mechanics needs to be converted. A lot of different parts will be installed alongside with the turbo itself.
Thus an exhaust manifold will be installed to direct the air streams which will be then compressed and forced into the engine. It is a common knowledge already that turbocharger compresses air and directs it into the engine making more air and consequently fuel enter the engine which actually adds the horsepower to the latter. So, evidently, turbocharger generates high temperatures and pressures and hence special parts are to be installed for protection the engine from quick wearing out. Consequently, an intercooler will be installed for keeping the temperature at the lowest possible level; blow-off valves and wastegates will provide pressure control for incoming and outgoing air streams. The same principle work for all other details installed – all of them are necessary for efficient and successful turbocharging process.
Since there are a lot of parts to be installed, the installation process is supposed to be long, complicated and evidently expensive. So, be prepared to spend a round sum for the mechanics’ service, and leave your car at a tune shop for a certain period, since all the details cannot be bolted up within one day. Of course, it will be stressful to become a pedestrian and use the public transport again, but the game is worth the candles. When you get your car back with a proper turbo kit installed, it will impress you with its upstanding speed characteristics which will make you feel like a real street racer.
Long time ago car changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners are eager to have powerful sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who search how to turn their car into a real masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to buy them.
Even if you don’t manage to find anything you require, don’t get upset. Currently we have a really unique chance to choose what you require for the best price on the market. It seems that today all of us are experts in turbocharging. We know a lot about turbo kits, their types, why turbo cars are better than non-turbo ones and how to convert non-turbo car into a turbo one. But at the same time many of the drivers face different unexpected problems when they undertake boosting up their own vehicles. This happens because many of the car enthusiasts possess only general information and do not have any practical knowledge which would be very useful. This article contains main aspects which should be driver’s attention paid at when he or she decides to install a turbocharger.
So, if you decide to boost up your car, first of all, get prepared that it will be very-very expensive. In addition to the turbocharger you will get installed a lot of details to ensure efficient turbo performance. Actually, the whole system is to be changed. So, plan your expenses accordingly. Besides, do not forget that you will spend money for the installation. And this is a round sum either. By the way, installation of twin turbos (which seem to be cheaper) is rather expensive – more expensive than installation of a single turbo (which costs more than two turbos). So, when you start your calculations for turbochargers, do not forget to include all the items.
Another thing to ponder on is choice of the turbocharger. Today different turbochargers are available – larger and smaller, twin turbo sets are also popular. Hence it is quite difficult to make the right choice being influenced by all available information, commercials or just friends’ opinion. For example, many erroneously think that a large turbocharger will be the best solution for every driver. Certainly, there is no doubt that large turbos generate maximum power. But at the same time this does not mean that all cars need the largest possible turbos. In each particular case when a car is converted into a turbo one, we need an individual solution when all the technical characteristics and driver’s preferences are taken into account.
In order not to get disappointed after receiving the upgraded car back, it is reasonable to entrust the vehicle to experienced car mechanics who will install and check everything properly. Certainly, the cost of their service will be much higher than that of some amateurs, but such expenditures are justified, because proper turbo kit installation is the key to success.
To put everything in a nutshell, this is all you need to think of when upgrading you car. Of all other issues car experts will take care. And in case they are skilled enough (evidently, you will do your best to find real professionals), the result will exceed all your expectations.
Long time ago car changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many car owners want to have powerful sport car but not everybody can afford it. Nowadays a lot of people cannot imagine their lives without cars. Due to mobility we have obtained certain freedom, since today many of us can go whenever and wherever they want. At the same time many drivers stop being satisfied with the vehicles they have and want to get more. Hence a lot of car owners strive to improve speed characteristics of their cars. For this reason converting of cars from non-turbo into turbo enjoys great popularity today.
But this popularity does not mean that turbocharging a car is a simple and hence cheap process. Actually, the state of affairs is quite the opposite: installing a turbocharger is a complicated process which requires special skills (so, don’t expect to be able to bolt up everything yourself), money and time. Why? Read further and you’ll understand.
It is self-evident that for boosting up a car a turbocharger itself is not sufficient. You will have to replace and additionally install a lot of parts for ensuring proper and safe performance of a turbocharger. It is a common knowledge already that a turbocharger compresses the air to let more air and fuel enter the engine. Hence an exhaust manifold will be installed for directing the air streams. Being the source of high temperature and pressure, a turbocharger will require installation of an intercooler for protection from overheating and blow-off valves and wastegates for pressure control. This is not a full list of all details for installation alongside with a turbocharger. So, partially such a large number of details and partially complicated installation service explains exorbitant prices for boosting up a car.
Besides, today there is a possibility to get two turbochargers installed simultaneously. This is called a twin turbo kit. Two smaller turbos generate more power, but do not have that annoying lag, which is very useful for daily street racing. So, since two turbos will be installed, the installation cost can even substantially increase.
So, as soon as you plan to boost up a car, you should count how much it will cost in your particular case (a turbo kit plus installation service) and plan your budget accordingly. Of course, the price for such a whim is high, but its value is high as well. Just imagine how fast your car will become. And note that it will happen without changing the engine of your car for a larger one; hence your iron friend won’t require more fuel. And this is also rather important since high-power cars are usually equipped with large engines that substantially increase car weight and thus fuel consumption. With a turbocharger installed you won’t face this problem. Isn’t it perfect for a world of constantly growing prices for fuel?
Long time ago automobile changed into not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people would like to have powerful sport car but not everybody can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who search how to make their car a unique masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to order them.

If you are keen on car racing, speeding or drifting and can’t imagine your life without high speed, then this article is meant definitely for you, since we are going to discuss all pros and cons of different types of turbo kits.
So, obviously you know that a turbocharger is a fuel-driven turbine, the main function of which is compressing the air for engine’s power and torque increase. The engine receives more power and hence more speed.
Today there are different solutions when it comes to installing a turbocharger: you can get a single turbo or a twin turbo system installed. Evidently, both systems are aimed at boosting up a vehicle, but still they have some differences. These differences are very important, since for this reason different turbo kits are efficient at different cars. Hence, right choice is the key to success and high speeds.
Twin turbo systems proved to be very efficient for daily street driving. Obviously, they produce power faster, because each turbocharger uses only four cylinders instead of the whole eight. With two twin turbochargers installed the engine works smoothly and boosts are achieved at much lower RPMs. As far as the price is concerned, two smaller turbos are cheaper that one large, but at the same time be aware that the installation of the twin turbo system is more complicated and thus expensive.
A large single turbocharger is perfect for those who are keen on drag racing, where outstanding power is required. It is easier and thus cheaper to set up, though the turbocharger itself is a rather expensive purchase. A single turbocharger uses eight cylinders for boosting up. It really creates outstanding power, but its main inevitable drawback is the extended turbo lag.
Since technical details and differences of single and twin turbo systems are rather numerous, it is better to ask experts which one will suit your particular car model and engine the best. In case you don’t choose the turbocharger yourself, you have more chances for success, since in this case the choice will be dispassionate instead of being influenced by commercial or car amateurs’ erroneous opinion. For example, a lot of people think that the larger turbocharger they install the more power they will get. As a result, they notice no difference after their car is upgraded, since the wrong-sized turbocharger is installed. Very often those who have a stock vehicle with a built-in single turbocharger want to change it for a twin set and vice versa. Each driver has its own opinion and requirements. That is why experts’ advice is so important in this case, since you will get installed what you really need, but not what is preferred by someone else.
Long time ago car became not only a vehicle but also a luxury and entertainment object. Many people want to have high-powered sport car but not all of them can afford it. There is a way out – turbo kits. Those who are looking how to turn their car into a unique masterpiece, check out this site. Lots of info about performance parts and how to buy them.
Even if you fail to find anything you need, don’t get upset. These days we have a really unique chance to choose exactly what you need at the best terms which are available on the market. All that we need is the online technologies. Use search engines, google for “buy performance parts“, look through blogs, social networks and forums. All this will help you get lots of various info. And also subscribe to the RSS on this blog and you will always keep abreast.
